He also issued warnings to 40 private training institutes and centers in the province that they might face closure if they continued their violations. There are 185 privately-run training centers, 50 of them for female students, in Makkah province.

Al-Zahrani asked citizens and expatriates wishing to join any of the private training institutes and centers to make sure that the center is licensed and that its training programs are approved by the TVTC.

He said would-be male trainees could contact the council's department of private training at Sharafiyah district in Jeddah or the department's branch in Taif, while females may obtain information about private institutes from the High Institute for Girls Training in Jeddah.

Director of the council's department of private training Abdullah Al-Harbi said the TVTC made continuous inspection visits to the private training institutes to ensure their commitment to the programs of the corporation, which were designed to qualify Saudi cadres for the labor market.

He said violations discovered in the institutes included the presence of instructors who were not approved by the TVTC, working without licenses, giving programs that were not approved by the corporation and charging trainees with exorbitant amounts in fees.
