The document released on Sunday backs up the statement previously released, a senior KHC spokesperson said.

“As the records show, he was in France in multiple public places with many friends and business associates and was accompanied by French security officers who all confirm his presence. Moreover, he was with his family, including his wife Princess Ameerah, his daughter Princess Reem and his granddaughter Princess Sara,” said Heba Fatani, senior executive manager, corporate communications, KHC.

Fatani said Prince Alwaleed was not in Ibiza in 2008 and could not have been involved in the alleged events and has not visited Ibiza for over a decade.

She added that Prince Alwaleed’s yacht “Kingdom 5-KR” was not in Spanish waters in 2008 as confirmed by the yacht’s navigation logs and in addition, he has never chartered a yacht named “Turama” as the press reports falsely alleged and which could be confirmed by checking the boat’s charter logs.

The requirements for chartering a yacht are stringent and these include registering the name, address and agent of the person leasing the yacht, and also the names and number of people and guests allowed to board the yacht.

Fatani provided pages of the prince’s calendar indicating that he spent time that summer in France, mainly in Paris, Cannes, and in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. He neither chartered a yacht in Ibiza, nor did he take his own there, Fatani said. Other people who spent time with the prince that summer can confirm his whereabouts, she added.

Among the supporting documents made available by KHC are statements by Prince Alwaleed’s personal bodyguard Joaquim Silva confirming the prince’s unbroken presence in France between Aug. 6 and 28 in 2008.

This is further supported by the French immigration arrival and departure stamps in Prince Alwaleed’s passport for Aug. 6 and 28 respectively with no record of his leaving by land, sea or air between those dates.

Arab News has had sight of 22 pages of documentation that details Prince Alwaleed’s movements during the material time. Much of it was spent in the close company of his family and personal entourage.

On Aug. 8, the night of the alleged incident, documents that list his activities between 4.30 p.m. and 2.30 a.m. on Aug. 9 place him on board his yacht “Kingdom-5KR” in the company of 27 witnesses. These include Silva who, besides being the prince’s bodyguard on the summer vacation, was described in documents as representative of “French Security.”

Prince Alwaleed first learned of the 2008 case on Tuesday Sept. 14 and his lawyers had not previously been informed about it, Fatani said.
