- MAKKAH: The Prosecution and Investigation Commission (PIC) Tuesday began questioning 11 illegal foreigners on suspicion of running a prostitution ring in a building meant for housing Haj and Umrah pilgrims in Makkah’s Al-Khansa district, local police confirmed.
Officers said the gang, consisting of six Bangladeshi men and five Indonesian women, were ambushed after being monitored for some time.
The police said the building’s security guards were assisting the racket, which allegedly charged customers SR200 a night.
Acting Makkah police spokesman Lt. Col. Zaki Al-Rihaili said the suspects were transferred to Al-Maabdah police station before they were handed over to the PIC for questioning prior to producing them in court.
