The book, titled “Ru-e-Sahmim,” mirrors in a very vivid and lucid manner the complex problems of modern society and the clashes in the contemporary world.

Speaking at the ceremony, Yad commended the contributions of Tarin, who published 12 poetry collections, including two in Arabic.

The event was attended by a large number of Indian and Pakistani scholars and poets as well as top businessmen, including Nadeem Tarin, Sheikh Rashid Ali and Afzal Sanai. Tarin's new collection shows how the poet is pained by torture, blood baths, conflicts and wars waged by people and nations.

Tarin’s soul searches “peace and tranquility for which he uses his poetry as a vehicle of expression that is full of fantastic phrases and diction, besides being rich in overtones of emotions and human values,” said Nadeem Tarin, while speaking on the occasion. “Poetry takes us down memory lane, richly embodies history and enables us to fly on the wings of imagination.”

“Tarin, who hails from Sarai Tarin in northern India, is a genius poet by birth with genuine concerns for Urdu,” said K.N. Wasif, an Urdu journalist. His recent publication in English titled “The Truth of Terrorism” has been widely commended for its seriousness of content and thought.

He has also won accolades from leading Urdu critics Gopi Chand Narang, Wazi Agha and Qamar Rais.
