- MAKKAH: Higher Education Minister Khaled Al-Anqari said on Tuesday that the establishment of new women's universities in the Kingdom would depend on the outcome of Princess Noura University in Riyadh.
- "On the basis of that results future decisions will be taken either to establish new women universities or to keep the existing system," he told reporters after opening a conference on preparing teachers, at Umm Al-Qura University.
Al-Anqari highlighted the progress of women's education in the Kingdom. He said a joint committee representing officials from the ministries of education and higher education would follow up implementation of the conference's resolutions.
"There is a roadmap for work between the two ministries, which will identify ways and means to develop education in the Kingdom," the minister said. He said measures have been taken for the employment of scholarship students after completing their studies.
