- CAIRO: Egyptian actress Ghada Abdul Raziq finished shooting for the upcoming movie “Rekalam” in Alexandria.
- The actress is only left with a few scenes to be shot in a hotel in Cairo.
The story of the movie is about four girls from different strata of society struggling to live. A woman working in a nightclub, played by actress Olaa Rami, attracts them to engage in illicit activities. Actress Ranya Yousuf and actor Reda Idrees are also in the movie.
An Egyptian lawyer has filed a lawsuit against the actress accusing her of damaging the image of Egyptian women in “Rekalam.” The lawyer said that the plot was degrading the reputation of Egyptian women, claiming that the characters turned to prostitution in the film in order to make a living.
The actress said she was surprised with the lawsuit filed, as the lawyer had not even seen the movie yet. She denied that the movie hurt the reputation of Egyptian women.
