- NEW YORK: Coldplay will livestream a concert from Madrid just as the band is releasing its fifth album.
The concert will be streamed on YouTube from the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas on Oct. 26. It’s part of American Express’ online concert series, “Unstaged.”
Filmmaker and photographer Anton Corbijn will direct the webcast. Coldplay will release its latest album two days prior to the concert.
It’s the first international webcast for the “Unstaged” series, which has streamed concerts by Arcade Fire, John Legend and My Morning Jacket. It will be available via the music video service VEVO.
The announcement was made Thursday.
