- JEDDAH: The Passport Department has opened an office at Sairafi Mall on Prince Muhammad Street (Tahlia) in Jeddah to provide various services such as re-entry and exit visas and issuance and renewal of iqamas (resident permits) for house servants.
“The office will provide its services for both Saudis and expatriates,” said Lt. Col. Badr Al-Malik, spokesman of the department, adding that the office would operate from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4 to 9 p.m.
“It will also be open on Thursdays and Fridays in the evening hours from 4 to 9 p.m.,” Al-Malik said.
The office is the second of its kind in Jeddah. The first office is located at Tahlia Commercial Center. There are four similar offices in Riyadh.
“We decided to open these offices in order to be more accessible to citizens and residents and save them time and energy,” the spokesman said.
