SCTA Chairman Prince Sultan bin Salman and the Mayor of Berlin will open the exhibition which will consist of about 400 antiquities showing the history of the Kingdom from the pre-historic stone age to the current Saudi state.

So far the exhibition was held in the Louvre Museum in France, the Caixa Forum in Barcelona and the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg in Russia.

Deputy Chairman of the commission Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Ghaban said, under the royal consent of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, the exhibition will tour major cities in the US and Europe.

He said the famous museums and fairs in the world request the Saudi exhibition and incur expenses to have an in-depth look at its history.

"This is an indication of the importance of the Kingdom and the attention given by the world to its history," he added.

Al-Ghaban said the pieces were carefully chosen from a number of museums in various parts of the Kingdom.

He added that more than a million people visited the exhibition in France, Spain and Russia and expected the German visitors to be more than half a million.
