- JEDDAH: Most parts of the Kingdom will be under the grip of a five-day cold spell from Friday evening to Tuesday with likely snowfall on the Loz Mountain in Tabuk province, according to a posting from the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) Wednesday.
While it will be biting cold in the northern parts, the temperature will dip below 4 degrees Celsius in the central provinces, the PME statement read. The Eastern Province will experience between 6 and 9 degrees Celsius, and in Madinah Province the mercury will slide below 8 degrees. The mountainous areas in the provinces of Makkah, Asir and Baha will have a minimum temperature between 4 and 6 degrees on these days, the statement said.
