During a dinner held to honor the outgoing press consul, Muhammad Tariq, the consul general praised Saudi press for strengthening the brotherly relations between the two countries, especially Urdu News for its role in highlighting the part played by Pakistanis in the Kingdom.

Khan praised Tariq for his efforts and dedication during his two years stint in the Kingdom and wished him all the best in his next position in Islamabad.

The outgoing press officer who is joining the Information Ministry in Islamabad on a promotion, said that he had a great time in the Kingdom and that he will take back great memories. He also thanked the consul general for his support and guidance. Tariq also praised the Pakistan's Journalists Forum for their cooperation and sincere efforts.

The new press consul, Suhail Ali Khan, praised his predecessor and pledged to continue his efforts in fostering strong bilateral ties.

He also referred to the fact that he was posted in the Kingdom before and added that he had maintained strong relations with many Saudi journalists and officials.
