- RIYADH: A large number of people with physical disability participated in a cultural and awareness program organized by the Saudi Aramco at its club in the Rabwa district in Riyadh on Thursday.
Addressing the event, undersecretary at the directorate of Saudi Aramco Affairs in Riyadh Fahd Al-Turaif stressed the attention given by the company to the people with special needs, the Saudi Press Agency reported Friday.
“As part of its social responsibly programs, Aramco organizes scheduled programs in all parts of the Kingdom throughout the year,” Al-Turaif said.
Experts in issues related to motor disability presented various techniques that can easily be adopted by people with disability at times of accidents such as fire and also how they can offer first aid to other victims of accidents.
The experts also demonstrated how cases of coma could be handled by disabled people in emergencies. The disabled people also participated in mock drills of domestic accidents including the ways to extinguish fire besides adopting methods to prevent accidents.
The experts also presented similar demonstrations at the women’ section. Competitions were also arranged for women in handicrafts making and environment protection.
