Male trainees should have a separate place if a training program were combined, business daily Al-Eqtisadiah reported Tuesday quoting official sources.

The sources said all services to men, including handing over certificates, will take place at the training site and not the women’s training center.

Meanwhile, Safa Al-Nasser, assistant director general of a private training at the TVTC said 48 private women training institutes were closed down for various violations. These included non-compliance with the rules and regulations of the corporation.

She said the number of the private women training institutes has gone up to 290 this year and added that these institutes have initiated new training programs to satisfy the needs of the labor market.

She explained that the new programs included courses in marketing, accountancy, costume designs, visual arts, English language, cosmetics, public relations and others.

On Monday the TVTC revealed it has established a special council for private training.

Mubarak Al-Tami, director of private training at the TVTC, said the council would comprise the heads of committees of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and added that council was taking steps to promote partnership between the public and private sectors.

Al-Tami, who was a speaker on Monday at the 2012 conference of the private training at the JCCI, said an electronic gate for training will soon be established and will start operations by the end of the year.

Private training institutes last year provided training to 114,018 persons, consisting of 66,015 men and 48,003 women.
