BISESJ’s Principal Nawell Najib Mossalli stated that this achievement was the result of teamwork, community support and through the blessings of Allah despite the Sharafiyah school’s challenges of an old school campus, limited resources and experiencing a devastating flood last year.

“We have strong spirits, we function as a family, and I'm able to stand proud today because I know we have proven the best way to escape adversity and challenges is to solve them. I have a talented faculty and hard working students to thank.”

Consistently, BISESJ produces IGCSE students with a 60 percent A or A* success rate. During the British Council sponsored Award Ceremony on Feb. 26, Nafis Rownak (IGCSE-Food and Nutrition) and Mahmoud Salim Ullah (A Level — Applied ICT) accepted their recognition for Top of the World.

Nowrin Islam (IGCSE) and Anchalia Chandrakumaran (A Level) ranked Top in KSA for ESL and Mathematics respectively. Top in Jeddah were Nahian Zaim (IGCSE — Accounting) and Fathima Yoonoos (A Level — Business Studies).

For Best Across in 8 and 9 subjects for IGCSE were Shahiq Sarker, Nowrin Islam and Nahian Zaim and graduating A Level students Atiquzzaman Ankur, Anchalia Chandrakumaran, Mahmoud Salim Ullah earned Best Across 3 and 4 subjects.

BISESJ is a nonprofit British Curriculum pre-reception — Y13 international school serving Bangladeshi expats in Jeddah. The school, which started in a villa and was established by community members with eight students in 1993, now has approximately 1,400 students.
