During the meeting, Prince Khaled emphasized the fact that the 20-year plan for the development of Makkah province is also aimed primarily at serving the guests of God who come from different parts of the world.

“The development of Makkah province will begin from the Holy Kaaba,” the governor said while explaining his vision for Makkah development. “All projects and services in the region will begin from Makkah,” he added.

Prince Khaled reiterated that the Saudi government considered its services to the guests of God as a great honor. “It is our duty to improve the services being extended to Haj and Umrah pilgrims,” he said.

The King Abdullah Project for the Development of Makkah and Holy Sites and the project to develop Makkah into a smart city as well as other projects are aimed at providing excellent services to pilgrims.

Al-Hajjar thanked Prince Khaled for his continuous support to the Haj Ministry and for his instructions to improve Haj and Umrah services.

Meanwhile, Prince Khaled met with Talal Mirza, chairman of Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and some of its board members who briefed the governor on the chamber’s new headquarters building constructed at a cost of SR114 million.
