He also pledged that he would try to solve the problems of overseas Kashmiris to the best of his abilities, during his tenure.

Khan stressed: “We need to stay united if we want to solve our problems. We have already opened the doors to overseas Kashmiris from the Middle East to come forward and participate in the development of the country,” he said.

In order to boost the economy, he said, he wants to include the private sector in development projects. He also told the Kashmiri community about the opening of two medical colleges in Azad Kashmir, while also promising the setting up of a third medical college soon, in addition to agricultural and IT universities.

On Gilgit Balbistan, he said it is part of Azad Kashmir, and no one can do anything to the solidarity of Kashmiri people with Pakistan. He thanked the Saudi government and the people for their help and support to Azad Kashmir. A number of hospital and other facilities have been built on humanitarian grounds by Saudi Arabia.

Khan talked with the community at a reception held in Jeddah. The platform for interaction with the Kashmiri community was provided by Pakistan People’s Party forum in Jeddah.

Members of Kashmir community put forward some suggestions and voiced their grievances before the president.

They emphasized the problems of workers, and called on the government to improve the education sector, set up a counter at the airport for Kashmiris, improve judiciary, improve the economic system, provide support to investment sector, pay attention to travel and tourism sector, and encourage training.

The president of PPP Jeddah Riyaz Bukhari said the two-nation theory will never be completed unless the Kashmir resolution is implemented. Dilshad Jani, the PPP's media coordinator; Sardar Aynayat-Ullah Arif, investor in Saudi Arabia and former leader of PSF; Raja Asif, Sardar Ashiq Husain, Sardar Ishfaq, Iyaz Iqbal, Abdul Aleem Khan, Ghulam Fareed Baluch and Ghulam Nabi Butt also spoke on the occasion.
