“This country will not tolerate any attempt to upset its security in any form under any circumstances. The state will deal with such attempts firmly and with determination. We will not be lenient with anyone, whoever may it be,  who play with the security of the country,” the prince said yesterday in statement while inspecting the women's college campus of the King Khalid University where students went on  a rampage two days ago, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The prince said during his visit that this country had no place for gatherings, sit-ins and demonstrations.

The prince said that a commission was investigating the issues and he expected its report in a few days, adding that all genuine demands of the students would be approved.

“I inspected the spot in the college which some students unfortunately vandalized. They have some demands, which they have a right to get. We will work with the university administration to grant the demands of all colleges and other university facilities,” the prince said.

Shortly after the visit, the prince also had a meeting with the Rector of the university Abdullah Al-Rashid, Dean of the Women’s College of Education Shanaifa Al-Qarni, and security officials to discuss the circumstances that led to the disturbances and the way it was handled.

The prince said he noticed that some websites were attempting to malign the university. “Any one who has a demand or criticism can send it to the related office or to my office or to me. My home, office and telephone are open to all. If any one has a complaint it will be redressed in a systematic manner,  not in an erratic way that will only serve the interests of those who want to destabilize the security of the country and incite sedition,” the prince said in his statement.
