According to local daily Al-Madinah newspaper, the employees have submitted to the administrative court in Madinah a list of charges against the ministry for its punitive action against them. The ministry accused the employees of neglecting their duties because they shut the court before the end of the official working hours.

According to the court sources, the punitive measures taken by the ministry did not include any of the court judges.

The three-month salary deduction was decided by the undersecretary of the ministry.
