The three-day conference opened at the Sofitel Hotel in Alkhobar yesterday.

Dr. Hussein Al-Seesy, head of the liver transplantation department at King Fahd Specialist Hospital-Dammam and chairman of the organizing committee, said the conference would discuss 27 scientific papers, including nine papers presented by the departments of liver transplantation, radiology and histology at the specialist hospital.

Al-Seesy also stated the conference would promote the close collaboration between King Fahd Specialist Hospital-Dammam and SASLT, and would be attended by a group of both local and international experts to discuss the latest developments and research in the field of liver transplantation and liver cancer.
