If you ask me, I think Al-Hilal, probably the strongest of the lot,  willingly threw away its chances after carelessly pulling a draw against Ra'aed of Buraidah. 

How unfortunate that a team like Hilal would lose against a team ranked  11th in the team standings.

Probably, Hilal underestimated Ra'aed and took things way too easy which would explain why its spirit didn't seem competitive enough.

It looked to me like a practice game and they happily waved the crown goodbye. 

It was heartbreaking for the many loyal Hilal supporters to see how the players seemed to just wait for Ra'aed to make the draw in the last 10 minutes of the match. It is also not a consolation when the management finds too many excuses for the team's performance.

Anyhow, it is now time for the people to witness a new champion.  Shabab and Ahli are not only both determined but also desperate to win the league.  Shabab's last league championship was in 2006 while Ahli's was in 1983 - 29 long years ago. 

This is going to be a head on collision between two very eager teams with only one point difference in favor of Shabab.  The fight is getting hotter now as only 4 matches are left for each team, any mistake can be a killer for any party. In my opinion, Shabab is closer to the championship not just because of the one point advantage but also because Shabab doesn't have any other championship or tournament to play for unlike Ahli, which is also playing in the Asian Champions League along with Hilal.  As the saying goes, you cannot serve two masters in one time.
