The team explored areas for joint ventures, outsourcing and trading in diverse sectors like infrastructure, construction, architecture & engineering design, interior design, high-end unique jewelry, oil-based products, solar water heaters and solar street lamps etc.

The business meet was sponsored and organized by Andhra Pradesh Youth Welfare Association and Telugu Academy — Jeddah as part of their activity in promoting Indian business, companies and traders especially from the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Siraj Hassan, renowned architect and interior designer of India based out of Andhra Pradesh with Siraj & Renu Architects and Interior Designers, said that there is lot of potential in Saudi Arabia for architectural and engineering consultants with the booming construction activity in the Kingdom.

He said that his firm was looking into acquiring outsourcing business in architectural, engineering and interior design and received warm response from various consulting firms in Jeddah and Riyadh.

With infrastructure projects running into billions of dollar going on throughout the Kingdom, SS group of companies, which has diverse business interests with focus on infrastructure projects, were represented by Suresh Bajaj a well known businessman. He said that lots of companies have shown interest in teaming up with their firm following their versatile project experience in infrastructural projects.

Bajaj, whose group also owns Krsala Jewellery, which is well known for its high-end, unique antique designs studded with precious stones, said that Saudi jewelers have shown keen interest in their products and expressed their willingness to synergize.

Managing Director of Yakon Trading Company, Mir Hyder Ali, said that his company is already engaged in trade with the Kingdom in various oil-based products like oil derivatives, filter clay and filter cloth etc and now they are planning to venture into the trading of food grains and industrial grade finished products apart from solar water heaters, solar street lamps and solar panels.

Mir Gazanfar Ali Zaki, general secretary of Andhra Pradesh Youth Welfare Association and Telugu Academy, Jeddah, said that with the successful promotion of business delegation, the association is planning to organize exhibition for handicrafts and artifacts in order to provide market exposure to the fine arts of Andhra Pradesh.

Zubair Mohammed, president  of the association, thanked the Saudi business community for giving a warm reception to the business delegation from Andhra Pradesh and also suggested that such initiatives would go a long way in promoting business and trade relations between two countries . Aijaz Ahmed Khan, Vice-President of IYWA & JCA, and Syed Baqer Ali, media coordinator, played vital role in organizing the business meets for delegates.
