Several talented young artists from various parts of the Makkah province who qualified from the preliminary round of competitions in their respective areas will gather together to demonstrate their artistic skills on a huge canvass.

Meanwhile, boys Waleed Sabir Bilal and Miteb Ali Al-Qarni from the city of Makkah won the drawing competition on Wednesday in the intermediate and secondary school categories respectively. Girls Hanan Al-Hilali and Raghad Al-Misaari of Al-Laith bagged first prizes in the intermediate and secondary levels respectively. They beat off competition from 11 other regions in Makkah.

Commenting on the artistic performance of the winners, the judging panel chief said all winning pieces met the required criteria, including artistic and technical proficiency, subject selection, and beauty of the work.

Separate drawing competitions for boys and girls were held at the Hall of King Fahd Coastal City and King Faisal Hall of King Abdulaziz University respectively.

The judging panel chief suggested holding drawing competitions in venues open to all in order to enable the public to watch them. He also called for holding an exhibition showcasing the inventions and artwork of talented boys and girls on the sidelines of the forum.
