The campaign is part of LG’s ongoing commitment toward supporting the society and increasing the awareness and importance of safe driving in the Kingdom. The company dedicated special days whereby management and employees from its different departments, could take part. 125 employees from LG and partners (Shaker & Naghi companies) voluntarily participated in the campaign.

Park, who was on a visit to the city, said the purpose of the campaign was to support the victims of car accidents and wish them speedy recovery. LG decided to initiate this with the blood donation drive since most of the blood required is imported from abroad. Also, according to the official announcements, Saudi Arabia is among the top 10 countries globally in the number of road accidents. Hence, LG Electronics, in order to give back to the community, came up with this corporate social responsibility initiative. The campaign will be continued in many other Saudi cities.

Underlining the importance of safe driving, Lee appreciated the efforts of the employees who volunteered to participate in the campaign.

As part of the “My safety, My responsibility” campaign, LG Electronics, Saudi Arabia is planning to conduct various activities aimed at reducing car accidents, especially among young drivers who represent the majority of traffic accident victims in Saudi Arabia.
