- RIYADH: Saudi Arabian Standard Organization (SASO) is organizing a workshop on technical barriers to trade (TBT) in collaboration with the US Department of Commerce and National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) at SASO premises from May 5.
The two-day workshop will focus on the TBT agreement emanating from the world trade organization (WTO) and related activities such as electronic applications and other regulatory issues, SASO Gov. Nabil Mulla said.
A number of experts from the GCC standard agencies, Saudi private and public firms and SASO technical committees will join the workshop, he said.
