Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives (ALJCI) is organizing its Bab Rizq Jameel (BRJ) 2013 annual ceremony with the support of Labor Minister Adel Fakeih.

The event coincides with the 10th anniversary of the launch of the job creation programs.

It will be held on next Thursday September 19 immediately after the sunset prayer.

The event will take place at Hussein Jameel building at the headquarters of the Abdul Latif Jameel Group, Safa district in Jeddah.

A number of senior officials from both the public and private sectors who support BRJ, in addition to senior executives from ALJCI and BRJ, beneficiaries and media people will attend the ceremony.

Mohammed Abdul Latif Jameel, chief job creator at BRJ, thanked labor minister for sponsoring the event and for his continuous support to BRJ.

Jameel praised the support provided by the Ministry of Labor to BRJ during the past years and its role in the success of BRJ activities in the area of creating job opportunities.

He also highlighted the firm partnership between BRJ and branch offices of labor and human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), a partnership that helped BRJ achieves 58,440 job opportunities during the year 2012, an increase of 17 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

Jameel extended appreciation to all other organizations cooperating with BRJ, including Credit and Saving Bank, Social Charity Fund, NCB, chambers of commerce and industry and other private companies, which are viewed as partners in creating job opportunities, as well as the beneficiaries of BRJ services and the700 job creators who work at four countries to turn BRJ into a success story. Jameel expressed his desire that BRJ will continue its efforts to eliminate unemployment and create more job opportunities for job seekers.

Abdul Rahman Al-Fihaid, executive director of BRJ Saudi Arabia said: “This annual ceremony will be different this year from other years, as it coincides with 10th anniversary of the launch of job creation programs back in 2003.”

The event will include presentations on BRJ achievements in 2012 and previous years, success stories of beneficiaries, launch of new job creation programs, launch of the new BRJ website which includes new features for job seekers, training programs and electronic marketing outlets for the owners of small projects.

Winners of BRJ Award for Creation of Job Opportunities — small enterprises category — will also be recognized during the event.

Since 2003 and to mid 2013, BRJ helped creating 167,262 job opportunities in the Kingdom, and 35,000 job opportunities in Egypt, Morocco and Turkey.
