DAMAC Properties, a privately held developer, said it would work with American real-estate mogul Donald Trump to build a new golf course in Dubai.
The Trump International Golf Club Dubai will be at the center of DAMAC’s 28 million square foot development called ‘Akoya by DAMAC’, it said.
Construction is already underway and the course will be ready next year.
DAMAC said it will be the owner and developer of the property and will use the ‘Trump’ name under the terms of a management agreement.
“By collaborating with Donald Trump, we are bringing the most elite name in golf and international luxury real estate to Dubai,” said Hussein Sajwani, chairman, DAMAC Properties.
“This course will provide a unique challenge for golfers, while delivering the upmost luxury and refinement for which both DAMAC Properties and the Trump Organization have become renowned for.”
DAMAC, formed in 2002, has completed 37 buildings and has another 66 buildings under construction across the Middle East and North Africa region.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our portfolio of award-winning courses into Dubai with DAMAC Properties,” Donald J. Trump, chairman and president of The Trump Organization, was quoted as saying in a press release received here.
“Dubai is an incredible city that truly understands the meaning of luxury. Trump International Golf Club, Dubai will be built to world-class levels, exceeding all expectations — there will be nothing like it in the region and beyond,” Trump said.
All elements of Trump International Golf Club, Dubai will reflect the white glove standard and luxury expected of both Trump and DAMAC Properties.
