As part of its expansion strategy at Saudi airports, and public transportation terminals and key locations, Meed Trading Co. opened a second branch at King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh on Nov. 1.

Among those present at the opening ceremony were executives from Meed Trading and Al-Mawarid Group, as well as businessmen and representatives of major newspapers and audiovisual media entities.

The guests were greeted by Meed Trading’s GM Abdullah Al-Qubaisi, who cut the ceremonial

ribbon.

On this occasion, Al-Qubaisi stated: “We at Meed are keen to keep pace with the continuous development and growth that characterize our Kingdom and remain close to our customers across the Kingdom. This is achieved by offering all basic consumer needs from leading international brands, in addition to fresh food items such as sandwiches and natural juices catering to all tastes. Customers can also avail of an in-store food corner that offers fresh and cold juices as well as premium coffee.”

During a press conference, Al-Qubaisi revealed Meed’s plan with regards to Vision 2030. The plan consists of supporting entrepreneurs and emerging businesses by creating a Franchise program benefiting young Saudis — males and females alike — and private companies across the Kingdom by end of 2017.

The new Meed branch at KKIA is a recent addition to Meed’s network that has reached 210 stores Kingdomwide so far. The terminal 5 new branch will offer travelers at KKIA and the people who greet them a mix of essential products, including sandwiches, juices, coffee, sweets, soft drinks, mobile accessories, prepaid recharge cards, snacks, etc.

Meed is the recipient of the ISO 22000 International Certification for Food Safety Management and the HACCP Certification for Critical Control Point System as a result of applying the strictest international quality and safety standards with regard to its products and services.
