Kazakhastan Ambassador Bakhit Batyrshayev on Saturday called on Muslim World League (MWL) Secretary-General Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa at his office in Riyadh.

They discussed the details of the upcoming conference of religious leaders to be held in Astana under the patronage of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The MWL is a global Islamic institution headquartered in Makkah. It acts as a reference for all Muslims. It has played an important role in countering extremist ideologies by developing many programs and initiatives as well as partnering with many religious bodies around the world — most recently, the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue.
