The year’s edition of Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD) will feature five sustainable fashion labels — and we’ve highlighted one more for good measure.

The Egyptian fashion designer and mixed media artist is known for her experimental style. She uses recycled fabric and sustainable ink in all her prints.Hass Idriss
The Beirut-based eveningwear label merges traditional techniques with cutting edge technology, while emphasizing the use of sustainable materials and ethical practices.Reemami
Designer Reema Al-Banna’s label produces garments on order and in small batches to minimize waste and over-stocking. The brand does not use fur, feathers or leather in their products and tries to source organic, recycled fabrics whenever possible.Sadeem
The fashion brand by Saudi designer Aljawharah (Sadeem) Alshehail is all about sustainable design. Sadem’s fabrics are non-toxic and are sourced from companies that employ sustainable practices.Roni Helou

The ESMOD Dubai graduate isn’t taking part in FFWD but recently launched her own eponymous sustainable brand. She collaborates with a small group of skilled artisans in India whose working conditions were inspected beforehand and also seeks to reduce the label’s environmental impact.
