NOUAKCHOTT: Mauritanian Prime Minister Ismail Ould Bedde Ould Cheikh Sidiya received in Nouakchott a delegation from the Saudi Shoura Council, headed by Chairman of the Saudi-Mauritanian Friendship Committee Assaf bin Salem Abu Thunein.
The Mauritanian PM welcomed the delegation and praised Mauritanian-Saudi relations.
Abu Thunein stressed that Saudi Arabia appreciates the role of Mauritania in bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom.
The speaker of the Mauritanian National Assembly, Sheikh Ould Bayeh, also met with the Shoura Council delegation, which is currently on an official visit to Mauritania.
Ould Bayeh commended the strong Mauritanian-Saudi relations and said: “The bilateral relations between the two countries are developing in an upward shift.”
The meeting discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries and ways of supporting this.
