Skincare tips for summer

Skincare tips for summer

It’s important to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays. Read on for six tips to ensure that you’re doing the utmost to safeguard your skin as temperatures in the Gulf heat up.

  • SPF is your BFF

Don’t forget to apply sunscreen with a strong SPF 30-minutes before sun exposure. Sun protection should be reapplied every two hours.

  • Cover up

The most harmful thing we do is to expose our bare skin to direct sunlight during summer months without wearing proper sun protection. Choose loose-fitting clothing with long sleeves and long hemlines to shield your dermis.

  • Protect your kids

Whether they’re playing in the backyard or at the beach, the sun can be dangerous for children so it’s important that you make sure they are wearing sun block.

  • Wear a hat

A sun hat is not only a stylish accessory  but also an extra barrier against UV rays.

  • Don’t forget your lips

One of the most important areas to protect against harmful UV rays is the lips – even if they are under a mask. Opt for a nourishing lip balm with SPF.

  • Wear shades

Sunglasses protect the delicate skin around the eyes from wrinkles. Look for ones that have total UV protection.
