Six up-and-coming acts to follow at SOUNDSTORM

For those looking for some new and eclectic sounds, check out these six up-and-coming artists performing at MDLBeast’s SOUNDSTORM festival from Dec. 1-3. 

  • Amber Broos on Dec. 1 

    The 20-year-old DJ from Belgium — who has performed at concerts like Tomorrowland, Pukkelpop and Suikerrock — has a unique style that is a combination of house, club and techno. 

  • Jamie Jones on Dec. 1 

    The Welsh DJ and producer, founder and curator of the Paradise global event series and a member of cross-genre band Hot Natured, will bring his own distinct sound to Saudi Arabia. 

  • Nervo on Dec. 2 

    The Australian DJ duo, comprising twin sisters Olivia and Miriam Nervo, is most famous for co-writing the Grammy Award-winning single, “When Love Takes Over,” performed by David Guetta and Kelly Rowland. 

  • Kayan on Dec. 1 and 2 

    The Mumbai-based indie musician and DJ — known for tracks like "Cool Kids" and "Be Alright" — built an online following during the pandemic. 

  • Biirdperson on Dec. 3 

    Saudi Arabia-based DJ and filmmaker Lujain Albishi, who goes by the stage name Biirdperson, has been making waves in the Kingdom. 

  • Mishaal Tamer on Dec. 3 

    The Jeddah-raised 23-year-old popstar made history when he signed with two major record labels — RCA Records in the US and Columbia Records in the UK.
