Six artists performing at the Dubai Comedy Festival 2023

Expect endless laughter as the Dubai Comedy Festival returns for its 2023 edition. Here are six comedians from the star-studded line-up.  

  • Zakir Khan, May 14  

    India’s boy next door Zakir Khan rose to popularity by winning Comedy Central India’s Best Stand Up Comedian competition in 2012 and has since released three hour-long stand-up specials.  

  • Atsuko Okatsuka, May 15 

    The American stand-up comedian — who started the viral #Dropchallenge with her grandmother — was named one of Variety’s ”Top 10 Comics to Watch” in 2022.  

      

  • Beth Stelling, May 15  

    The American comedian is famous for her sets on “The Standups” and is also a writer for the hit TV series “Crashing,” which starred Phoebe Waller-Bridge.  

      

  • Dara O Brian, May 15  

    One of Ireland’s funniest funny-men, O Briain is known for his quick wit and razor-sharp observations. 

       

  • Jimmy Carr, May 16  

    British Irish comedian and popular panel host Jimmy Carr — best known for his deadpan delivery of controversial one-liners — will showcase his brand-new set of jokes about “all kinds of terrible things.”   

  • Jim Jefferies, May 17  

    The Australian comedian and actor is known for starring in the American FX sitcom “Legit” and the Comedy Central late-night show “The Jim Jefferies Show.”
