Dolce & Gabbana celebrates Saudi Arabia with new capsule collection

Saudi Arabia’s “rich history and hospitality” was melded together with “Dolce & Gabbana’s vision of Italian beauty” to create the collection that is exclusively for the Kingdom, according to the brand on Instagram.

Showcased at Riyadh’s Hittin Palace, the capsule collection featured modest looks complete with typically Dolce & Gabbana-style embroidery. 

According to the brand, the collection was “inspired by the region’s dreamy landscapes and flora” with floral detailing visible on a number of pieces.

Each piece incorporated elements of local poetry, known to celebrate the natural world, with feathered embellishment and gemstones also spotted in the collection.

The line is “evocative of the region’s landscapes, with their vast desert dunes, serene valleys and rugged mountains,” Dolce & Gabbana said in a statement.

Gold, warm browns, reds and deep blues mark the collection that riffs off desert hues found across Saudi Arabia.
