dubizzle, a major classifieds website for users in the MENA, hosted its brand launch event in the Kingdom, where it emphasized its ongoing mission of disrupting consumer exploitation to members of the local media and guests.
Under the slogan "dubizzle is the marketplace for buyers and sellers," the dubizzle campaign aims to continue educating the Saudi residents about the benefits of using classifieds and to instill the mindset of letting go of their unused items and passing them on to someone else who needs them more.
Abdullah Al-Ghadouni, GM for Saudi Arabia at dubizzle, said: “At dubizzle we believe every unwanted item has someone looking for it and we bring buyers and sellers together, it’s that simple. dubizzle is redefining the culture of ownership and the way people perceive their possessions. dubizzle’s vision to disrupt consumer exploitation and this latest effort goes some way to proving our commitment to the cause in Saudi Arabia.”
Since its launch in 2005, dubizzle.com claims to have become the number one platform for users to buy, sell, or find anything in their community. A community where underused goods are redistributed to fill a new need and become wanted again, where non-product assets such as space, skills and money are exchanged and traded in new ways that don’t always require centralized institutions or middlemen.
Al-Ghadouni went on to say: “It’s about getting more and more people in Saudi Arabia to realize the positive impact dubizzle has on their local economy. When they trade items that are no longer needed or used; the overall supply in the market increases.”
dubizzle.com has four main sections — property (for sale and rent), motors, jobs and items for sale. Based in the UAE, it is also available in Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar and Tunisia.
