WE ALL KNOW Ranveer Singh is a live wire who is not even an inch less than a ball of energy. Over-energetic Ranveer as an actor has won all the praises and applause of perfectionist director Sanjay Leela Bhansali (SLB).
Now, he is yet again roped in for Bhansali’s opus ‘Padmavati’. The film is all about the defiant ruler of the Khilji dynasty and his obsession for the King of Mewar’s wife, Padmavati, being played by leggy lass Deepika Padukone.
The actor and the filmmaker have joined hands for the third time after ‘Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
Buzz is that SLB’s blue-eyed boy asked him for a script narration a few weeks before the film was to go on floors. It is speculated that how Ranveer who used to trust SLB blindly can ask for a narration for ‘Padmavati’?
Well! Grapevine suggests that it’s a move that perturbed Sanjay to the core. But it has another twist in the tale; the main reason that miffed the actor is Shahid Kapoor who came on board as the King of Mewar, Raja Rawal Ratan Singh, who plays Padmavati’s husband in the movie.
The latest update is that Ranveer is very much insecure about Shahid’s role. Seeing this the Bajirao of BTown demanded a narration to fathom his role in the film as compared to Shahid’s where Ranveer will be seen in a grey character whereas Shahid will play his good boy avatar.
A source close to the film said that Ranveer is not dejected with Shahid’s presence. He has already started growing his beard for the look and SLB to give him joint narration with Shahid, once he comes back to India from his vacation.
Bhansali is going to begin filming ‘Padmavati’ in September and he is aiming to finish it within six months.
