Indianapolis: In the days leading up to the Fourth of July (Independence Day), renters in Indianapolis are facing orders to take down the American flag that they proudly display at their apartments. Sources say that renter Jordan Stein received a letter from management at the Core Riverbend Apartments threatening to fine him $ 75 if he did not remove the US flag from his balcony.

Aaron Pullen, another Indy resident of The Masters Apartments said he received a similar letter and feels strongly about his right to display Old Glory. “I’ve went out and fought for it, bled for it and watched others do the same,” said Pullen. The Core Riverbend Apartments management did not comment. An attorney for The Masters Apartments said that he would research the applicable laws and if there was any mistake, it would be rectified.
