MUMBAI: It’s a clash of the titans, between Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ and Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Yes! ‘Shivaay’ is all set to lock horns with KJo’s star-studded ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, which is also a Diwali release.
The imminent box office tussle of both the films has got the BTown talking, but Ajay is unfazed.
Already one of this year’s biggest clashes was thwarted, with Shah Rukh Khan shifting ‘Raees‘ to next year for Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ Eid release; everyone was expecting the same with ‘Shivaay’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
Film industry was abuzz with speculation that Ajay expected KJo to shift his film’s release date in order to avert any box office clash. But Karan maintains stoic silence about the release, which has apparently left his once BFF Kajol miffed. Buzz is that the actress also didn’t wish KJo on his 44th birthday last May since they are no longer friends.
It was Ajay, who first reserved Diwali for his film’s release, and when Karan went for the same date for ‘ADHM’, Kajol decided to back her husband.
She returned to social media by sharing the poster of ‘Shivaay’. It has been reported that the actress has decided to engage herself in the film’s marketing campaign as hubby dearest is busy with other projects.
“There is no pressure or anything. Both films are of different genres. And we have space for both to do great.
I have friends in ADHM team that it’s better to avoid the clash and that we shouldn’t arrive together. So now it is their call,” said Ajay. We wonder what Karan has to say to this.
