RIYADH: The value of sentences issued by the executive courts in Saudi Arabia amounted to SR16 billion over 30,973 cases from the period commencing Muharram 1, 1437 until Shawwal 16, 1437.

Interestingly, throughout all of these proceedings, the Ministry of Justice and the Capital Market Authority (CMA) eliminated the use of paper officially in dealings and proceedings between them regarding the implementation of rulings.

The Ministry of Justice said that statistical numbers regarding the executive cases, especially those linked to the CMA, reflect the extent of security proceedings which have been held up due to checks, promissory notes and bonds, as well as the extent of movable and immovable property that has been restored and returned to their rightful owners.

This in turn enhances the stature and strength of a prompt justice system, and provides a safe investment environment for all.
