ABHA: Bangladeshi media and expats have expressed deep sorrow at the death of four Bangladeshis in the terrorist attack at the Special Emergency Forces Mosque in Asir on Thursday.

Mohammed Bilal Hussain Mohammed, Afazaluddin Noor Nabi, Jidon Abdul Hameed and Mainul Mirza and 11 security personnel were killed in the suicide bombing.

The Bangladeshis bid their friends farewell with heavy hearts. S. Ali mourned his friend Jidon, saying that the attack has traumatized him. “The incident plays on my mind every time I pass by the mosque.”

Friends of the four martyrs had been working at the centere as cooks and security men for the seven to 11 years.

Suzan hailed his friend Jidon as a thorough gentleman. He refused to get married before all his seven siblings got married, he said.

Mohammed Bilal had got married only four months ago and left his pregnant wife. In sadness, friends also fondly remembered Maqal who, they said, always urged his friends to do good deeds.

Maj. Gen. Mohammed Abu Qarneen, head of Asir police station, said that Saudis too are mourning the deaths of the four Bangladeshis "who became martyrs on Saudi land."

“Their rights are reserved and we expressed sadness the same way we did for our martyred,” he said, adding that they died while performing duty.
