JEDDAH: The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), in order to clamp down on forgery of currency, documents, signatures and illegal cash dealing, organized a five-day training course for youths with the cooperation of Makkah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).

Muhyiddin bin Yahya Al-Hakami, acting secretary-general at the JCCI, said training was imparted to 20 young people under the supervision of the training and development of human resources management sector. The students were given their course certificates on Wednesday.

Al-Hakami said the accredited training was provided by a professional and planning manager, Nihad Juma Abdul Zahir, who briefed the workers in the areas of cash handling, the ways which can be used for forgery, and revealed the techniques of counterfeiting and how to take legal action against them.

The course also provided participants with the necessary knowledge about the nature and characteristics of the offenses; forgery of documents; signatures, their components and characteristics; types of methods to check authenticity; correct identification of currency; signatures and legal documents, technical audit of bank documents; writing materials; legal aspects associated with the crime; and how to use this knowledge in practical life.

He said the training program was organized for the development of the youths and to remove the economic effects of counterfeiting and forgery of currency, and illegal documents on the county.
