JEDDAH: Politicians and military experts say that Saudi alliances, both regionally and globally, carry the unmistakable stamp of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.

They confirm that Arab and Islamic alliances under the leadership of King Salman is considered a new force reflecting the vision of the Kingdom to face modern challenges and risks in the area. They say the Kingdom reflects the voice of the moderate Arabs.

Amr Hashim Rabei, a Cairo-based political analyst, said Arab and Islamic alliances send a strong message to all forces that threaten the Arab and Islamic worlds. He said these alliances are a wall in the face of conspiracies against the Arab and Islamic world, especially in light of the divisive activities of Iran to enforce its agenda on the Arab region.

Ammar Ali Hassan, an Egyptian professor of political science, said the Kingdom had witnessed diplomatic movements represented in bilateral meetings with a number of Arab and Islamic leaders in addition to the visit of King Salman to Egypt.

He confirmed that Arab and Islamic alliances seek to stand up to risks and challenges that surround the Islamic nation. He added the Kingdom hosted a number of political summits and took active part in the G-20 summit. “This reflected the economic weight of the Kingdom in the international arena,” he said.

Maj. Gen. Hamdi Bakheet, a military expert, said the Kingdom used unconventional means in its war against terrorism, saying Riyadh is careful to achieve stability and spread peace in the area.

Maj. Gen. Talat Musallam, a military expert, said the Kingdom had dealt with all obstacles that stood in the way of decisive issues, such as facing terrorist organizations through new alliances.

Maj. Gen. Mohammed Nooruddin, another military expert, said the Kingdom’s success in its war against terrorism has strengthened security in the region. He said the plan implemented by the Kingdom through new alliances will clip the wings of Iran in Yemen, and force the Houthis to go back to the political path and participate with other political factions in managing the affairs of the state.

He said success on the ground confirmed that planning in facing terrorist organizations was sound and dried up sources of terrorism, brining more stability to the Arab world.

Military expert and former head of the Egyptian armed forces, Maj. Gen. Naser Salem, said alliances announced by the Kingdom have a pioneering role in unifying Muslims in the face of serious threats, especially the Iranian one.
