The heads of provinces and municipalities should personally carry out field inspections, according to directions from Municipal and Rural Affairs Minister Prince Mansour bin Miteb.

The idea is to get them familiarized with the situation on the ground, and make real evaluations in the field. Annual reports of the outcomes of these visits should be submitted to the ministry, including suggestions to boost the performance of municipalities across the Kingdom.

The minister said provincial and municipal officials needed to take advantage of all available resources to implement assigned projects and plans. Prince Mansour explained that the process of following up field inspection tours has a clear impact on checking the levels of achievement and the services introduced on the ground.
