YANBU: The chairman of the Young Businessmen Committee at the Yanbu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Murad Ali Al-Aroui, said he did not see any justifiable reason for unemployment in the Kingdom as the labor market is wide open and accepts all innovations and ideas that, for the most part, do not even need large amounts of capital.

Some ideas require little skill and effort, he said, however most youth find self-employment difficult and daunting, and see steady jobs as a lifeline, despite the fact that such work may allow one to gain more experiences and succeed.

He said the committee has conducted field trips to check on some important activities and youth projects to monitor the workflow and market these projects via social media and other media channels.

“The committee is keen on supporting these projects and exchanging ideas and member experiences through dialogue, as well as motivating others to break into the free labor market,” he said.

“The aim of these visits is to market projects and participate in their success by sharing ideas with others, which in turn benefits the investor,” he said, adding that the committee has made it one of its responsibilities to enhance the culture of self-employment and innovation among the youth.

The committee also hosts many forums and social events that showcase successful models in the field of trade and commerce, enabling initiators of these ideas to share their stories and interact with others looking to enter into this area.
