JEDDAH: Arab News, which has remained in the forefront discussing and addressing issues facing the Kingdom’s residents, has taken a new initiative to host a dialogue on the role of community leaders in counterterrorism.
The interactive session is based on an innovative concept themed ‘Expat communities in Saudi Arabia: Their contribution and responsibilities.’
The dialogue is one of the pioneering initiatives of Arab News Editor in Chief Mohammed Fahad Al-Harthi, with a view to increasing the interaction of the region’s leading English newspaper with decision-makers in the Saudi economic sector and expatriate community leaders.
Pakistan Ambassador Manzoor ul Haq and some major Pakistan community leaders will be among those joining the dialogue at Arab News headquarters on Tuesday.
Pakistanis constitute one of the largest expatriate communities in the Kingdom. They are peace loving and have played a key role in the development of the Kingdom.
As has been the practice, Arab News invites senior diplomats, decision-makers, economists and businessmen “as part of our efforts to increase our interaction with readers and to further increase their involvement in whatever we do,” said the newspaper’s editor in chief.
Saudi Arabia hosts over 10 million expatriates from all over the world who are working and residing across the Kingdom.
They are enjoying all benefits and most of them want to live here as long as possible because they enjoy more facilities here than in their home country.
