RIYADH: Officially, it’s still off season but golf seems to never stop at Dirab Golf & Country Club.
On Saturday the July Corporate Open Golf Tournament takes place with a shotgun start at 7 a.m.
The tournament format is a two-ball Texas Scramble with a good-sized field participating including 10 Bahraini golfers.
Major prizes have been scaled down to fifth place. The usual skill prizes of longest drive men’s and ladies and closest to the pin will also be up for grabs.
The 2016-2017 season does not open until September with the staging of the Saudi National Day Golf Tournament on Sept. 24. Almarai Co. is confirmed as the sponsor of this tournament.
