MIAMI: Tom Koehler pitched seven strong innings to help the Miami Marlins to a 2-0 victory over the visiting San Francisco Giants Tuesday night.
Giancarlo Stanton’s RBI double and Marcell Ozuna’s groundout in the first inning provided the scoring the day after a 14-inning game won by the Giants 8-7.
Koehler (9-8) allowed two hits and three walks while striking out six. Over his last four starts, Koehler is 3-0 with a 0.67 ERA.
Giants manager Bruce Bochy returned after missing Monday’s game with an irregular heartbeat.
