At King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, a new service of safe wrapping for luggage has started. The passengers are no doubt happy about this new service, but they are complaining about its exaggerated high price — especially which it comes to wrapping containers of Zamzam water. Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has made imperative on all passengers taking Zamzam water with them to wrap the containers in the plastic wrap. No passenger will be allowed to take Zamzam water with him if it is not safely wrapped. The wrapping of each container costs SR8, a high and unacceptable price. The plastic cover does not most of the time protect the container. This means the safe wrapping is not safe!
Was it not supposed that someone should have reviewed the price of this service before it was introduced? If it's Saudia or the General Authority for Civil Aviation that had imposed a high price on the provider of this service, they should have known that in turn he would put on a high price for the service to be able to make profit.
They should both know that citizens and foreigners are not happy about the price of safe wrapping and are hoping that the policy will be reconsidered.
