The hospital where the teacher was taken concluded she died from head trauma.
The deceased was identified as Lina Sebastian, 31, a teacher at Al-Yasmin International School in Riyadh. She and her family were on their way to attend the Soorya music program when the accident occurred on the Riyadh–Dammam highway.
The teacher was traveling with her husband Saji Jose and close relatives. The cause of the accident was attributed to a burst tire, which caused the driver to lose control and flip the vehicle.
According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle turned turtle soon after the tire burst. The other four passengers were treated for light injuries.
Sebastian leaves behind three children — two girls and a boy attending the same school where she taught. The children were left behind in Riyadh because there wasn't enough space in the vehicle.
