The Ministry of Justice is in the final stages of launching an e-portal where potential subscribers will be allowed to issue proxies, vacate land and file lawsuits, local media said.
The portal will also furnish subscribers with timings of court sittings, deliberations, decide the arbitration of inheritance following the death of the owner, and issuance or cancellation of proxies by SMS on mobile phones, the media said.
To access and activate the new services, subscribers have to register their fingerprints with the Ministry of Justice together with their user names and passwords, the ministry stressed.
The Justice Minister and the head of the Supreme Judiciary Council, Mohamed Al-Issa, had earlier directed the creation of the e-portal named “Adl Portal.”
The portal will also allow both citizens and residents to inquire about transactions and out-going deeds from the ministry including current property deeds or those which have already been sold out, the media said.
It is noteworthy that many Saudi government agencies have launched e-portals to facilitate and speed up services for both citizens and expatriates.
